Your Views Wanted

Because of the problems with pegging tunnels and weaves in the Outdoor Arena for the jumping classes, we are contemplating putting both rings into the Main Arena for the November show.
What are your views on this?

November Tombola Fund Raiser!

Rosie and Barbara tell me that the tombola for Riding for the Disabled at November's Show is now ready and that 'there will 100 prizes, tickets will cost 10p each and the odds of winning a prize are 1 in 5.'
So bring plenty of cash for the Tombola and the home-made refreshments!

In addition, 47 clear round rosettes were distributed to other dogs that had gone clear, but not got into the placings.

The prize for guessing the fastest clear round from Classes C & D Agility went to Tricia Robarts who guessed 28.09 – the exact time!

We will now start working out the points so that the overall winners can be determined in March.

October Thanks

Thank you to everyone who came to our first show yesterday - you made it so easy and enjoyable to run! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did - there were certainly some smiling faces around all day.
The results from the show will be going up as soon as possible, and we hope to have some 'end of season' prizes in March for those who have done best over the whole series of shows - so keep trying!

A Few last Minute Things

One or two reminders:
Please don't arrive before 8.00am as the gates to the venue will not be opened until then for us to get in.
Parking will be 'cosy' as the paddock is not available for us to use, so people will have to park in front of each other. The good news is that there is no mud or potholes in the carpark, just tarmac.
Check that you are using these corrected directions - we don't want you getting lost!
Directions to the Venue:
Leave the M62 at Junction 28. (White Rose Centre turn off)
Take the A653 Dewsbury Road towards Leeds After the second roundabout the A653 bears right – take care for speed cameras! Ignore the brown signs for Middleton Park. Go through 2 sets of traffic lights and after the Cross Flatts Park on your left, take the right turn at the next traffic lights into Middleton Grove, signed for South Leeds Stadium. Kwik Fit is on the corner ahead of you. Continue up this road past the industrial estate and South Leeds Stadium. Go straight across at the new roundabout, and the venue is on your right at the top of the road just before the entrance to Middleton Park.

Entries Update

The November show is now full and entries are having to be returned to those who applied too late unfortunately.
The December show had about 10 places left when we counted yesterday - more may have arrived today...
The 2007 shows are also filling up steadily, so if you haven't yet got your entry in for those, it's advisable to do so soon.
Entries can be given to Janice Dawson at the show next Sunday if you are going to be there.

Want to Judge?

We are looking for some more people to judge for half a day at future shows. We offer free entries for all your dogs at that show (ie the other half of the day) and a lunch. There might even be a small gift......
